Love Knows No Borders campaign
On February 14, 2000, Representative Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) introduced H.R. 3650,which would provide to same-sex couples all the immigration benefits that
accrue to legal spouses under current laws.
U.S. citizens can sponsor their foreign national husbands or wives to immigrate on the basis of the spousal relationship.
U.S. citizens in committed relationships with foreigners of the same sex, however, can not sponsor their partners, no matter how long the couple has been
together nor how committed their relationship.
This bill is OUR chance to correct one of the many injustices done to gay U.S. citizens.
This bill needs each and everybody's support! On our award-winning website (http://loveknowsnoborders.homepage.com) you'll find updated information.
Please contact us to find out how you can help get equal rights for same-sex binational couples!

LA Chapter Meetings
The meeting time and location is announced via email to members of the ImmigrationEqualityMembers@yahoogroups.com. The meetings are currently held on the second Wednesday of the month at The Coffee Table, a gay-friendly cafe in Silverlake, at 2930 Rowena Blvd.
At these meetings, new members can meet and share their experiences with others who are similarly impacted by homophobic and HIV/AIDS- phobic U.S. immigration laws. Together, we can increase the community's awareness of these unfair policies and work to reform the laws. Come and see what a difference you can make. Confidentiality is assured.
