to archiving gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender and AIDS information, has
established a web site on immigration.
The URL is http://www.qrd.org/qrd/www/world/immigration
Immigration Equality has its own page at

Members of our group have joined the steering committee of the Los Angeles
Freedom To Marry Coalition, a grassroots coalition of groups organizing and
preparing for the impact of the Hawaii court case Baehr vs Lewin, which may
legalize same-gender marriage.
``Love Knows No Borders'' VIDEO TO BE SCREENED SOON
The New York chapter of the Lesbian and Gay Immigration Rights Task Force has
developed a 30-minute video which highlights the plight of binational couples
due to this country's unfeeling immigration policies. Immigration Equality
hopes to get a copy of this video soon and to air it at a social
event/fundraiser at the next monthly meeting (Tuesday December 12).
MINUTES of the Tuesday Sep 12 Meeting of Immigration Equality
(by Ron Buckmire)
- Mylo agreed to try and meet with the executive directors of The Center,
AIDS Project Los Angeles and/or AIDS Healthcare Foundation to ask for money
- Ron agreed to meet with the new director of the Immigration Law Project to
determine how the group can interact with the Project
- Members will work on translating the petition into Spanish
- It was agreed to continue to try and organize a fundraising event where
the #Love Knows No Borders# video can be screened
The general sense of the meeting was that things would mostly be on hold until
the new Immigration staff person was hired, but that we would continue trying
to do our work.
[There was no October meeting]
