Her work for the LGBTetc community began in college and continues today. She has participated in activities ranging from being an officer in an LGBTetc student organization to picketing the CDC with ACT UP. Her favorite work was participating in and coordinating LGBTetc speakers' bureau presentations in Knoxville. In addition to her queer activism, she advocates for greater understanding of mental illness, especially clinical depression.
Other interests include spirituality, Celtic music, net-surfing, libraries, holistic health, reading, humor, and nature. On Usenet, she writes the Tuesday update for One Life to Live on rec.arts.tv.soaps.abc.
