Today a draft report from public opinion surveying made by
CBOS (Centre for Public Opinion Surveying, Warsaw, Poland)
on acceptation homosexuality in polish society has been published.

Results are:

Do you know any lesbian
or gay?                                     86%

Are you ready to work together
with a lesbian or a gay in one
workplace?                                  29%

Are you ready to live on the
same street with any L/G ?                  24%

Should LGB people have a right
to get marry?                       19%     71%        10%

Should LGB people have a right to
adopt children                      6%      88%         6%

Should LGB people have right to
work as a teacher?                 13%       79%        8%

Should LGB people have a right to
be employed on high posts in
public administration              25%       63%        12%


Should LGB people have a right
to have public gay clubs?          56%       34%        10%

Should LGB people have a right
to join in officially recognized
LGB organizations?                 53%       36%        11%

Should LGB people have a right
to issue LGB newspapers and
magazines?                          51%       40%         9%

 
Isn't it impressive? I would like to add that more than 90% of
polish population are roman catholics - and it is the best
explanation of above results. Today, five years after the crash of
communism it becomes to be obvious that catholicism is the same 
kind of totalitarian  ideology as a communism and a fascism.
To recognize the true enemy is a base for succesfull fight.

There is a long way before Polish LGB community and it won't be
easy.
