This position requires a self-starter, action-oriented, enterprising
individual. Experience or qualifications should include:

-Bachelors Degree and/or commensurate experience;
-Good communication skills including public speaking;
-Excellent organizational skills;
-Experience in grant writing and development;
-Management and supervisory experience;
-Experience in working with board of directors;
-Political involvement with lesbian and gay issues;
-Familiarity with, or willingness to learn about, the local lesbian, gay and
transgender community and its organizations, issues and concerns;
-Experience with and sensitivity to issues of racism, sexism, anti-Semitism
and homophobia; and fund-raising experience

Energetic, talented, and astute person wanted as full time staff person for
Empire State Pride Agenda office in Albany, NY. 

Candidate must love politics. Also must be a very well organized "people"
person and possess a proven ability to handle multiple tasks and projects.
Previous organizing or political campaign experience a plus, but not
required. Good written and verbal communication skills a must. Job involves
travel and some fundraising.
