New York City (May 6, 1996) - Certain to be a hot ticket for the Lesbian &
Gay Pride Weekend, the Lesbian & Gay Community Services Center presents the
sixth annual Lesbian Pride Dance Saturday at 9pm, June 29, the eve of the NYC
Lesbian & Gay Pride March.

A new venue, LPD moves from the Borough of Manhattan Community College to the
rockin' Irving Plaza Dance Hall (17 Irving Place -- accessible).  LPD
features a non-stop groovin' DJ and dancing, vendors, cash bar (smoking
permitted), and women galore!

LPD Co-Chair, Paula Foster said, "Now in its sixth year, the Lesbian Pride
Dance Committee decided to select a venue reflecting this event's successful
growth and popularity.  LPD will include something great for everyone with a
stellar non-stop mix of music ranging from classic disco to dance club
tracks, plus 'lotsa' women!

Tickets are $15 in advance before June 14 ($20 after), and they are available
