             EXPLICIT SAFER-SEX SEMINAR FOR GAY MEN
       TO BE HELD IN CONJUNCTION WITH WORLD AIDS EFFORTS

Wichita, KS (EGCM) The Land of Awes Information Services will
be holding an explicit safer sex seminar for gay men on January
3, beginning at 6:00 pm at 111 North Spruce in Wichita.
Attendees must be 18 years of age or older. There will be no
charge for the event and reservations are not available.

"It is time for a video like this to be seen by gay men," said
Rex Rivers, a Wichita gay activist.  "For too long safer sex
information has been sanitized to the point where it sounds
like attending a medical conference.  The video that will be
shown tells gay men in images and common language how to be
erotic with each other without transmitting the AIDS virus. We
hope that the publicity surrounding World AIDS Day will
encourage gay men to attend."

Men who have sex with men make up the largest population of
people affected by AIDS, yet little information on prevention
has been made available that is specifically targeted to this
group. Because there is no cure for AIDS at this time,
educating people on avoiding the disease is the only way of
combatting the pandemic.
