			YET ANOTHER SIDESHOW

	While religious political extremists target Hawaii's Senate,
including a rally yesterday on the grounds of the Capitol, Pat Robertson's
lawyer Jay Sekulow continues to harrass Hawaii in court.  Sekulow is
representating 8 members of Hawaii's House, who want to be made co-defendants
with the state against HERMP in court.  These 8 legislators don't trust
the attorney general to be homophobic enough in battling HERMP in the courts
over marriage, so they want to stand alongside the AG and offer their own
distillations of prejudice.

	At the Circuit hearing, Sekulow showed up with a film crew of at
least 20 people, clearly intending to use his legal efforts on the Christian
Broadcasting Network to raise money.

	The Circuit Court rejected their request.

	On April 1, with no evident sense of irony, the 8 legislators 
appealed the Circuit Court decision to Hawaii's Supreme Court.  HERMP will
of course oppose the appeal.
