Subject: SA 140:  HAWAI`I CONCON UPDATE

Aloha ahi ahi kakou.

In conversations late this afternoon, election officials are still uncertain
as to the date of the special election on the Constitutional Convention
question.

It was learned that the state appealed Judge Ezra's "by December 2nd"
deadline, and was successful at moving the date back to Saturday, December 6th.

A "head's-up" guess at this point would seem to indicate that December 6th
would be the date for that special election.
