		SUPPORT GAY AND LESBIAN CIVIL RIGHTS

		Restricting Marriage = Discrimination

The House has overwhelmingly passed a bill that would put a 
constitutional amendment restricting marriage to heterosexuals on the 
November ballot. This is an attempt to subvert the court which is 
expected to rule in favor of gay marriage in August. The Senate is under 
increasing pressure to hear and pass the bill before it dies.

* defeat the constitutional amendment
* the constitution protects the community; it should not be used to 
  discriminate against citizens
* stand up for gay civil rights
