A CALL GOES OUT TO DEMONSTRATE THAT WE ARE AMERICA!

Citizens of Broward County seriously concerned about the excesses of the
right
wing in our community are joining together after learning of the events
planned
by the Coral ridge Ministries of D. James Kennedy and former Vice-President
Dan
quayle in the accompanying flyer to declare that bringing fundamentalist
extremists from all over the country to Ft. Lauderdale to-- Reclaim America
for
Christ-- is a threat to democracy and diversity and must have a response.

Therefore, Gays United to Attack Repression and discrimination (GUARD); the
Sunshine Cathedral - MCC Ft. Lauderdale; The Gay, Lesbian and Bisexual
Veterans
of America Gold Coast chapter; the Log Cabin Club (Broward Republicans);
Pride
South Florida; Sons and Daughters of America, Inc.; Scoop Magazine;
Republican
Liberty Caucus of  Florida; and Outbooks have decided to co-sponsor a -We Are

America!- demonstration at the Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church, Ft.
Lauderdale
on Saturday, January 22, 1994 at 5:00 PM.

We intend that our peaceful --We Are America!-- demonstration will be one of
the
largest gatherings of human rights advocates ever seen in Broward County to
focus on our message of the need for separation of church and state, an end
to
the violence and bigotry of the religious right, defeat the American Family
Association attempt to legislate their version of the bible, and an end to
legal
and governmentally sanctioned discrimination against Gays, Lesbians, and
Bisexuals in this country especially in the United States Armed Forces.

We strongly urge all communities to get motivated and to participate in the
declaration that we have all had enough of the right wing religious fanatic
attempt to establish an intolerant theocracy in America!

Stop the violence! --- Stop the hate!
