Dear Friends,

As you may already know, People for a Stronger Colorado has 
been involved in an effort to force Colorado for Family 
Values to comply with the election laws of Colorado and 
report all the money they raised in anticipation of 
fighting our Equal Protection Amendment.

CFV has now made it clear they will go to any length to 
keep their finances a secret. They have informed members of 
the media that they will appeal the judge's decision which 
declared they had to disclose their contributions.

This appeal will be to Colorado District Court, and it will 
cost money to go through the appeal process. Lots of money!

We already know CFV has large cash reserves. In a 
fundraising effort done during the summer of 1993, they set 
their goal for 1 million dollars! We have little doubt they 
achieved that goal. After all they were able to contribute 
$390,000 to a campaign in Cincinnati, Ohio to pass an 
Amendment 2-like ballot issue.

People For a Stronger Colorado is not a wealthy 
organization. So far, I have footed the bills revolving 
around the CFV violation out of my own pocket. I am unable 
to afford this when it goes to District Court.

I am now forced to ask for you help in the attempt to keep 
CFV honest. If CFV is willing to spend the enormous amount 
of time and money to go to court to delay complying with 
the law, one can only wonder what they are do desperate to hide.

Please help us stand up against these people. We must be 
able to prove that even the rich and powerful must live 
within the laws. Your contribution, not matter what size, 
will be a message: NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW!
