Running from June 27 through June 30, 1996, the Convention will be centered in the historic Greenwich Village and Chelsea districts of New York City. The theme is "Approaching the New Millennium with Integrity." The convention has been scheduled during the City's traditional LesBiGay Pride observances. Beginning with Evening Prayer and registration on Thursday, June 27, the gathering will culminate with participation in the annual Heritage of Pride Parade on Sunday, June 30, and the traditional Pride Festival Evensong at the Church of St. Luke-in-the-Fields, the New York Chapter's host parish. Conferences will be held on the campus of New York University. Optional accommodations are available at a ten percent discount at the Washington Square Hotel, across Washington Square Park from the University, and overlooking the route of the parade. Help is available in arranging other accommodations; also several local chapter members have graciously offered their homes for those truly in need. The majestic Landmark on the Park Ballroom overlooking Central Park will be the setting for the banquet, replete with elegant cuisine and outstanding entertainment. Details of the convention are still being developed. Fliers will be in the mail to all Integrity members and chapters by week's end, with prices and registration information, including discounts and arrangements for attending only selected portions of the convention, if that is your pleasure. Attendees should plan on arriving Thursday evening, June 27, or in time for breakfast on Friday. The Convention ends officially after the Awards Banquet and entertainment, late Saturday evening, June 29, but continues unofficially throughout Pride Day, Sunday, June 30. -30-
