Subject: The NEW Gay Agenda

On Sunday 3/13/93 at 7:00 am the Family Channel and KCAL CH 9 in Los
Angeles (Disney) simulcast a special, hour long version of the "Gay
Agenda".  Hosted by Dr.  James Kennedy of Coral Ridge ministries, Ft.
Lauderdale FL.  This hour long diatribe was a clever blend of innocuous
truths laced with outright lies and vague generalities disguised to
resemble the truth.

That the Family Channel chose to air this crap is of course no surprise
to anyone who knows the "agenda" of the Family Channel and it's bigoted
founder Pat Robertson.  But KCAL must be reminded that since they
broadcast over the public airwaves they are held culpable for their
actions by the community that they serve.

Several times over the course of the program Dr. Kennedy reminds the
audience that for $25.00 you can get your own copy of this ground
breaking video.  The first $25,000.00 will go directly to Cincinnati to
defend that cities right to discriminate against Gays.  Any remaining
money will go toward making more programs like this.

On Sunday 3/13/93 at 7:00 am your station aired a special, hour long
version of the "Gay Agenda".  Hosted by Dr.  James Kennedy of Coral
Ridge ministries, Ft.  Lauderdale FL.  During this hour of hate speech
Gay & lesbian people were debased & defamed with a clever blend of
innocuous truths laced with outright lies and vague generalities
disguised to resemble the truth.

Must I remind you that since you broadcast over the public airwaves you
are held culpable for your actions by the community that you serve.
You can not satisfy your commitment to the community by simply stating
before the program that your station may not agree with the messages
espoused in sponsored programming.  The lies that this type of program
propagate, directly cause good Gay & Lesbian Americans to suffer
physical abuse, and more often recently, murder at the hands of
hysterical Christians doing "God's Will".

This is not an issue of disagreement between two rational, well minded
groups.  It is an attempt to fuel a modern day holocaust.  Your
station's participation in our persecution is unacceptable.  I will be
forwarding my thoughts to the FCC and request that you keep a copy of
this letter in your files for public viewing.
