A Free Public Lecture by Dean Hamer, Ph.D. Wednesday, April 19, 1995, 7:30 pm Fairfax High School Auditorium 7850 Melrose Ave (at Fairfax Ave), Los Angeles Dean Hamer Ph.D. is Chief of the Section on Gene Structure and Regulation at the National Cancer Institute. Dr. Hamer led the team that discovered the the existence of a gene on the X chromosome that influences sexual orientation in men. The team is continuing the research in women. Dr. Hamer is the author of _The_Science_of_Desire:_The_Search_for_the_Gay_Gene_ and_Biology_of_Behavior_ and will discuss his work.
