Called Pride Utsav '95, it will include workshops, panels, a keynote speech by Urvashi Vaid, an awards banquet, cultural program, dance, receptions, and participation in the Dyke march and the Freedom Day parade. The theme for the conference is Affirming our culture, celebrating our sexuality. The activities scheduled include a keynote address by Urvashi Vaid, plenaries, workshops and readings, a South Asian dinner banquet with a cultural show and awards presentation, receptions/parties, participation in the San Francisco dyke march and the Freedom Day parade. Workshops open to queer South Asians only, all other activities open to all. Conference will be at the UCSF Mission Center, 1855 Folsom St (at 15th), San Francisco.
