The conference, sponsored by the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force (NGLTF), is celebrating its tenth anniversary with this first ever broadcast on the world wide web. The conference will be held November 12-16 in San Diego, California and will feature over 120 workshops and small group networking sessions designed to enhance the confidence and skills of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered activists and organizers who work at the local and state level. The four plenaries will be carried live and selected workshops will be available on demand during the conference. "We are very excited to be able to expand the reach of the conference through the use of this technology," said Kerry Lobel, executive director of NGLTF. "It will enable us to train more organizers in more places than ever before." The cybercasting is available free of charge from the NGLTF web site at http://www.ngltf.org. RealPlayer software, which is required to listen to the on-demand broadcast, is available at no charge from http://www.real.com/products/player/index.html.
