Radecic, the organization's current Deputy Director for Public Policy, will replace Torie Osborn, who announced her resignation earlier this month. "Peri Jude is a Task Force success story", said Elizabeth Birch, Co-Chair of the Board of Directors. "With her dynamic leadership abilities, institutional knowledge, and tireless energy, the Task Force could not be in better hands." In other business conducted over the two-day Board meeting, the Tsk Force budget for FY 1994 was increased from $3.2 to $4.3 million under a streamlined operating plan. Informed by the changing political environment, the plan includes several new positions including a Health Policy Director, State and Local Civil Rights Organizing Director, a Fight The Right Campaign Director, and a Workplace Organizing Director. "The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force has never been stronger, and is continuing to grow and adapt to meet the challenges that face the movement," said Radecic. "The Task Force continues to serve as the nation's strongest gay and lesbian organizing institution based on a foundation of diversity that is our community."
