The DC Chapter of the National Lesbian and Gay Immigration Rights Task Force wil
be holding a Valentines event at El Faro Restaurant/Bar at 2411 18 St. NW -
nearest metro is Dupont Circle. Members of the task force will be there from 7pm
until late (11pm or so). This is an opportunity for us to meet in a social
setting. Our 150+ members will have just received our latest newsletter covering
the discussions from our last meeting in January as well as details of our
Valentines event so we are expecting a large turnout this Saturday.  If you
haven't been able to make our regular meetings then this is a great chance to
meet up with the rest of us for the first time. Everyone is welcome.	

Our next meeting will be held on Sunday, February 18 at 2:00pm at the offices of
the National Gay&Lesbian Task Force, 2320 17th St. NW (at kalorama St. - north
of Dupont Circle). We will be discussung our activites in relation to supporting
the Hawaii marriage case, getting an update on asylum issues as well as starting
forward planning for the Freedom Festival.  Please bring all your energy and
ideas!

We are also holding screenings of the "love knows no borders" video in DC (on
Saturday, Feb 24 at 7:30pm) and Maryland (Friday, March 8 at 7:30pm).  If you
are interested in either screening, please let us know by responding to this
e:mail so that we can advise you of the location.   

We are meeting regularly, alternating every other month between the third
Thursday evening (6:30pm) and third Sunday (2:00pm). So our meeting in March
will be held on Thursday, March 21, 6:30pm at the offices of the Human Rights
Campaign, 1101 14th St. NW (nearest metro MacPhearson Sq).
