Thank you for your assistance, Andy Quan coordinator ****** *Job Announcement:* Looking for a dynamic, independent, skilled candidate to act as co-ordinator for the International Lesbian Gay Association. *Candidates must have: 1/ excellent spoken and written English, 2/ excellent editing skills 3/ excellent communication, administrative and management abilities 4/ experience with using computers, including e-mail, word processing, desktop publishing, and database management. The candidate should be efficient, with a sense of responsibility and an ability to work independently. She or he must be prepared to relocate to Brussels and should be willing to travel. The candidate must be comfortable dealing with lesbian and gay rights, and be willing to publicly represent ILGA if needed. *Other assets: 1/ active knowledge of Spanish and French (other languages are an asset as well) 2/ a good knowledge of ILGA and international lesbian and gay organizing 3/ previous working experience working in lesbian and gay politics, or another grassroots social movement; experience in international politics and relations. 4/ ease with budget and bookkeeping tasks *Responsibilities will include: 1. editing the ILGA Bulletin and other published materials 2. Coordinating the preparation of programmes for ILGA World Conferences 3. press officer: answering enquiries, preparing and distributing press releases. 4. managing the membership database, membership payments and reminders, controlling daily office finance and management. 5. co-ordinating volunteer work. 6. promoting ILGA to new members. 7. co-ordinating Secretariats' Committee Meetings and communication between Secretariats. 8. Liaison with regional conference organizers. A net salary has been set at 50.000BF per month on a full-time basis. The overall salary includes health insurance, social security, tax pre-payments and an annual holiday bonus equivalent to one month's net salary. A relocation bonus will be paid to non-Belgian residents. *For legal reasons, European Union passport holders are preferred although other outstanding candidates will be considered.
