Gay & Lesbian Center Board of Directors Board of Directors Also Elects Eight New Members LOS ANGELES, Feb. 4, 1995 -- Gwen Baba, Chair of the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Community Services Center's Board of Directors, recently announced the election of Loren Ostrow to the position of Co-Chair. Mr. Ostrow replaces Edward S. Gould who finished a three-year term as Co-Chair and will continue his seven-year affiliation with the Gay & Lesbian Center as a member of its Board. "The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center's growth in the last few years has been tremendous," said Ms. Baba. "We continue to expand and enhance existing programs while adding vitally needed services. The Gay & Lesbian Center is also committed to strengthening its role as a leader of social change and advocate for gay and lesbian civil rights. Loren's strong leadership skills and capacity to fundraise will ensure our success in that role." Mr. Ostrow is a Principal and Executive Vice President of KOAR International, a real estate development, investment and advisory firm. He holds an M.B.A. from the University of Rochester's Graduate School of Management and graduated from Stanford Law School with membership in the Order of the Coif. A native of Boston, he has been a member of the Board for three years and lives in Silverlake with his partner, Brian Newkirk. "I am honored to be given the responsibility of Co-Chair of the L.A. Ms. Baba also announced the appointment of eight new members to the 22 person Board of Directors. They are: Tom Soto, Dr. Harvey Abrams, David Fisher, Loretha Jones, David Meyers, Paul Morabito, Dave Kalish and Dr. Kevin Williams.
