CELEBRATING TRIAL CONCLUSION: There will be a Eucharistic celebration at St. George's Church in Maplewood, NJ on May 19 to observe the May 15 Episcopal Church ruling in the heresy trial of Bishop Walter Righter. The Ecclesiastical Court of the Episcopal Church ruled that Episcopal doctrine does not specifically ban the ordination of non-celibate gay men and therefore dropped the heresy charges against Bishop Righter. AIDS MEMORIAL: The 13th International AIDS Candlelight Memorial and Mobilization will be observed worldwide on Sunday, May 19. The event honors the memory of those who have died of AIDS, demonstrates support for people living with HIV and AIDS, and mobilizes community-based responses to HIV/AIDS. AIDS WALK: The 11th Annual AIDS WALK New York will take place on May 19. 30,000 men, women, and children are expected to take part in the 10 kilometer walkathon. DOMESTIC PARTNER RECOGNITION: The West Hollywood City Council will formally adopt an ordinance expanding the city's Domestic Partnership Program on May 20 at 7pm. West Hollywood is also the first city to offer domestic partnership registration via the Internet at http://www.ci.west-hollywood.ca.us/city hall/.
