Subject: GLAAD Needs Assistance in Monitoring Compuserve

To the Netizens of the Gay and Lesbian eCommunity,

As you know, the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) recently
criticized commercial Internet service provider CompuServe for their
censoring of gay and lesbian sites.  GLAAD is a national organization that
promotes fair, accurate and inclusive representation of individuals and
events in the media as a means of challenging discrimination based on
sexual orientation or identity.  We are looking for volunteers on
CompuServe or who have access to it to help us monitor any kind of
censorship activities.  One report that has come in is that they are now
blocking gay and lesbian web sites.  If anyone has any information or can
assist us, it would greatly be appreciated.  Please contact Loren Javier at
Javier@glaad.org if you are interested in helping us monitor CompuServe.
