Subject: AMC Rumor False

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) would like to quell
the rumor that has been circulating on the Internet that ABC is planning to
drop the character of Michael Delaney, the school teacher who came out of
the closet in the November 1st episode of "All My Children."  GLAAD
contacted "All My Children"'s Executive Producer Felicia Minei Behr, who
told GLAAD that the show has NO plans to drop the character. The network is
very happy with the character, as is the audience. She pointed out that the
response to the character has been overwhelmingly positive, but the
negative letters keep coming.  GLAAD encourages viewers and members of the
community to write letters of support and send them to:
