We the undersigned oppose the military's policy prohibiting gay,
lesbian and bisexual people from serving in the armed forces. 
This discriminatory policy runs counter to the basic principles
of fairness and justice on which our Nation stands.  Gay people
should not have to fight their country in order to defend their
country.
