Here are some words for gay and lesbian from Judy Grahn's book _Another
Mother Tongue_ (if you haven't seen this, it is a must for all interested
in queer cultural history). Most of these are slang, rather than standard
terms, so I hope this is what you are after.... 

Words for gay male:

finnochio [word for fennel plant] (Italian)
maricona [lit. weak Mary] (Spanish)
mariachi [refers to festival players] (Spanish)
links [lit. left] (German)
schwul (German)
raerae (Tahitian)

Words for lesbian:

marimacha [lit. strong woman] (Spanish)
lollepot (Dutch)

There are many more names listed which describe holders of traditional gay
and lesbian "offices" (such as shaman, or ceremonial cross-dresser) rather
than the above which translate literally as "gay" or "lesbian".
