Just thought I'd pass on some information about THIS WAY OUT, the
international gay radio program that Ron B. was asking about.  I
help out with the program and thought I'd clear some things up
too.
 
First of all, the program emanates from Los Angeles, not San
Francisco.  We can be reached at P.O. Box 38327, L.A., CA 90038.
 
Secondly, we are NOT a Pacifica Radio Network program, nor NPR.
Pacifica does sell us time on their satellite for us to upload
the show, however, and it is available 14:30-15:00 Eastern time
on Mondays on the satellite's Channel 12.  If your local station
is interested, they should contact us directly.
 
If you want to receive the program but have no affiliate station
in your area, you can subscribe to the program and receive a
cassette twice a month in the mail.  The minimum donation to this
nonprofit, all-volunteer operation is $10 per month, with a 3-
month minimum payment of $30.  If you can send payment for more
than the 3-month minimum, it will cut down on our need to send
"renewal" notices to you.  Checks should be made payable to
OVERNIGHT PRODUCTIONS/THIS WAY OUT, which is a nonprofit
501(c)(3) California corporation.  If it matters, that means your
donations are tax-deductible to the extent the law allows.
 
The cassettes are 60-minute chrome tapes, with a 30-minute
program on each side.  Each is recorded in Dolby B stereo from
the original reel-to-reel master tape, so the quality is pretty
good.  In fact, the satellite feed is in mono, to save money, so
if you subscribe, your copy will be superior to what most people
hear.  Individual tapes are $10 each.
