Y'all: I just finished with another great book that I wish everybody'd go out and order. It was _Hate_Crimes: Confronting_Violence_against_Lesbians_and_Gay_Men Gregore M. Herek and Kevin T. Berrill, eds. (Sage Publications, 1992, ISBN 0803945418). Just 2 nights ago a new acquaintence here in town because the first person to ever seriously look me in the incredibly sexy hazel eyes and ask "Discrimina- tion? How are we discriminated against?" This guy is fairly 'out', and at least in other areas, somewhat aware, so I was understandblay agape. I did give him an earful, and I don't think we're going to be friends now, which is somewhat disappointing. What a clash between his state of no-clueness and this incredible book, so full of painful stories and the usual unbelievable stats! I'll make it quick: Great book, go to all the libraries you can think of and make sure they have it, then go buy one for yourselves!!! Jon Miller-Carrasco UT Austin
