It will be held at the Palm Springs, California, Hyatt Suites on April 20 to 23, 1995. The keynote speaker is Dr. Ankh Ehrhart, director of the HIV center at Columbia University, and internationally known for her research in gender and sexual orientation. The closing speaker will be Dr. Roger Gorski of UCLA, who will talk about his research on sexual differentiation of the brain. other well known speakers include Dr. Vivienne Cass, from Perth, Australia; Dr. John Gagnon of SUNY and the "Sex in America" study; Dr. Dean Hamer who is doing gene research at the National Cancer Institute; and Dr. C.A. Trip p who collaborated with Kinsey authored "The Homosexual Matrix". The conference includes thirteen general session presentations, a dozen shorter papers in concurrent sessions, and three pre-conference workshops. Two receptions will offer an opportunity to network with experts in the field of sexual orientation. The program chair is Dr. David McWhirter, the first openly gay president of SSSS, and now Medical Director, San Diego County Mental Health Services and Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at UCSD School of Medicine.
