Personal anecdotes, opinions, original research, news and requests for information about the topic are all welcomed. Discussion may include (but isn't limited to) *being OUT (or not) in medical school, to colleagues, or to patients *discrimination experienced by gay, lesbian, or bisexual physicians *examples, effects, and causes of discrimination experienced by glb patients *glb suicide, addiction, abuse, gaybashing, STD's, and the medical profession's responses *glb education in medical school *the medical profession's role in public education on glb issues *anything else relating to the experience of being a queer person or interacting with queer people and the medical profession (perspectives from allied professions may also be relevant). An archive of all past postings to the group is available. List volume runs from 0-4 messages a day, with one being about the average. The list has been running for four years now, and had been operated from Dalhousie University in the past. My moderating policy is that all messages must be in some way on-topic. About 450 people subscribed to the group, at last count.
