ACTION-ALERT is moderated and will only accept postings that include a brief summary of the situation requiring the ACTION along with contact information that members of the ACTION-ALERT distribution list can use to take ACTION! Be sure to include fax numbers and email addresses if at all possible. Under rare circumstances, followup information (e.g. additional contact information) will also be posted. Messages which do not address a specific issue for ACTION will not be forwarded to the list. The Religious Right has networks of radio stations, television shows and churches to try and co-ordinate the distribution of its message of hate to the world. The Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender/Friends (LGBTF) community must F I G H T B A C K W I T H T E C H N O L O G Y! Join ACTION-ALERT to become aware of when we can use our voices to be heard. Be prepared to make those calls, send those faxes, mail those letters and photocopy those newsletters. The subject line of each message from ACTION-ALERT will begin with "ACTION ALERT:", to make it easy to pick it out from other mail you might have. Each message from ACTION-ALERT will include a "Submitted by:" line just below the subject line. There is also no way I could personally verify the phone numbers or any other information in these messages. In the few cases where I am able to verify information, my comments will appear above the alert itself. If you have questions or comments about the posting, send them back to the submitter's address -- DO NOT send them back to the list or to me. As with any email list, *DO* *NOT* chain your local GLBO mailing list to ACTION-ALERT.
