Schenectady, NY Daily Gazette http://www.dailygazette.com/ gazette@dailygazette.com 12/8/99 Letter to the Editor As you probably know, Shenendehowa High School has implemented a new school harassment policy that includes "sexual orientation." You should also be aware that the National School Boards Association and the State School Boards Association each encourage local school districts to include "sexual orientation" in their non-discrimination policy statements and code of conduct - or at least actively pursue dialog regarding anti-gay harassment in schools. The "Dignity for All Students" has been introduced into the state Senate and will be introduced into the state Assembly by Education Committee Chairman Ed Sanders.
