Hi! I am sending this to you because it may be of interest to you and
your list members.

This is an update to our earlier announcement of The Advocate's
internet presence. There are a couple of new addresses that have been
added since our initial debut. We have received many inquiries about
how to subscribe to the magazine via the internet, so we have set up
an orders address for this purpose (orders@advocate.com). You can
even try The Advocate for 3 issues--free!

The following text describes The Advocate magazine's internet
connection. If this information would be of interest to your
members/readers, you are welcome to post it to your list(s) and/or
distribute it at will.

_The Advocate_, The National Gay & Lesbian Newsmagazine,
is on the internet! You can now use internet mail to communicate
with the magazine of record for the gay and lesbian civil rights
movement. Here are the details:

Our connection is e-mail only. _The Advocate_ has its own domain,
advocate.com. Letters to the Editor can be sent to
"letters@advocate.com". Please include your name and address in the
letter if you would like it published.

Try _The Advocate_ for three issues--free! Subscription orders can
be sent to "orders@advocate.com". Include your full postal mailing
address.

News and press releases, announcements, story ideas, and so forth
should be sent to "newsroom@advocate.com".

We also have an e-mail information server. Sending any message to
"info@advocate.com" will generate a response containing information
about the magazine, how to subscribe, and other information that can
be requested through the server.

Our goals for this project are to make it easier for you to reach
us, and to disseminate information about the magazine quickly to
those who want it. We look forward to hearing from you and we welcome
your comments.
