AEGIS is not yet accessible directly via the internet.  If grant money becomes
available this year, we will connect.  In the interim users must rely on Ma
Bell and dial direct--714.248.2836 * 8N1/Full Duplex * v.34.

High-speed--v.34 (28,800 bps)--modems have been installed on all lines to
reduce file transfer times and therefore connect costs.  The fully keyword
searchable databases now exceed 160,000 files and include the complete works of
AIDS Treatment News and 26 other publications, and the NLM's AIDSLINE,
AIDSDRUGS, and AIDSTRIALS.  Additionally, CDC Bulletins, MMWR's in PDF format,
and NLM Clinical Alerts are available, plus much more.

Twenty-plus conferences are available also, in Dutch, English, French, German,
and Spanish.
