Dear community member,
You are invited!
We made this web page to announce the third Tri-State Regional Bisexual
Conference, to be held at Rutgers University on the weekend of February
5-7! So, if you're bisexual or bi-supportive or just interested in topics
relating to bisexuality, then wed love for you to join us for a weekend
of workshops, entertainment, speakers, and socializing!
Please take the time to fill out the
registration
form. In addition to the questions you find here, please feel free
to add any suggestions you might have as to how we might best organize
this conference so that it will be productive, educational, and most of
all, FUN for everyone involved!
Workshops
All conference attendees are invited to apply to lead a workshop. It can
be on any topic at all, ranging from safe sex to queer theory to coming-out
issues. Proposals for leading workshops are being accepted until December
15. Please send us a paragraph or two describing the workshop(s) you would
like to organize and how many people you expect will attend. Workshops
will last about 90 minutes.
Housing
There is affordable lodging available in the New Brunswick and surrounding
areas, but should you need it, we will be coordinating community housing
between conference attendees and area residents.
Similarly, if you are a Rutgers University student or area resident
and would like to put people up for the weekend, please indicate this in
the space provided on the registration form. Well really appreciate it!
Transportation
We would like to coordinate transportation to the conference for those
who need it. If you would like a ride or can provide one, tell us on your
registration form and well try to connect you to other people in your area
in your area.
Fees
Conference registration fees are as follows: $45 general fee in advance;
$55 after January 31; $35 students and low income in advance. No one will
be turned away for lack of funds. Make checks payable to BiNet/USA.
If we've left out any major questions or concerns you might have, please
let us know by enclosing another page, emailing us at bi99@biconf.org,
or calling our voicemail at 732/246-3769.
Thanks!
